Pierre Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais was a French playwright from the 18th century. He is best known for his books, The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro. He also worked closely with the aristocracy in France, making connections and gathering information that would aid him in writing his books. Beaumarchais had an incredible talent for understanding the intricacies of human emotion; this was evident in his books which allow readers to invest in the characters' feelings throughout their journeys.
